What made me happy today? Kill la Kill!
Kill la Kill is a new anime directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima, both of whom had previously worked together on Gurren Lagann. The drawing and story-telling style of Kill la Kill really remind me of Gurren Lagann. And that's a great thing, because I love that one!
Ryuko Matoi is a 17 year old girl, arriving at a new school. As it turns out, this school is dominated by the student council. Ryuko Matoi decides to fight the student council's oppression with her half scissor sword, while trying to find the person who owns the other half.
In the first episode, Ryuko finds Senketsu. Senketsu looks like a sailor's uniform, but is a Godrobe which grants Ryuko amazing abilities in exchange for some of her blood. Hilarity, epic fighting and some fan service ensue.
Currently, 7 episodes have been aired of a total of 25. So there's still time to catch up :-)
