Swoosh.

What made me happy today? Swoosh.
There's a storm coming. Not a big one, but the winds can get to reasonably high speeds. Fast enough to pick something up.
Like the porta potty at the construction site right across from where I live. I was in the kitchen, making dinner, when I suddenly heard this scraping noise followed by a swoosh and a bang. First I thought it was an accident, but it turns out the wind blew the porta potty right into the street. It nearly hit my car.
Good thing it didn't, but more importantly: nobody got hurt! The street was empty when it blew onto it. And with the help of two neighbors the porta potty is back where it belongs.
Let's hope it stays there, and that this storm won't cause too much damage!

Safe journey

What made me happy today? I arrived at my hotel in one piece!
I had to fly out to Amsterdam today. I have no problem with flying, although I'm not particularly fond of the take off and landing parts. that's because my ears tend to pop. A lot. And it can get quite painful...
But I made it there safely! And I got to enjoy a cup of Starbucks at the airport (not saying coffee, it was more of a coffee-flavored drink).
The flight itself went very smooth and was pretty short. They served a small snack on board, which is always nice :-)
So hurray for a safe journey! Now I'm going to wash the airport and airplane off me.
